In the year 1982, Sri Ajit Kumar Baidya donated the land ( Two Kottah ) to Dr. Mahanambrabata Brahmachari for construction of Mahanam Angan , Banamalipur, Agartala.
On 14th September, 1982 foundation stone for the ashram was laid by Dr. Mahanambrata Brahmachari. On 24th December, 1982 a humble building for Mahanam Angan, Banamalipur, Agartala was inaugurated by him. The ilods of Lord Bandhusundar, Radha krishna and Nitai Gour was brought from Kolkata by Dr. Brahmachari.

On 14th September, 2010 a tripple storied temple complex with elaborate arrangements and furnishing was inaugurated by Srimat Upasakbandhu Brahmachari, present president of Mahanam sampraday, India.
