SRI SRI JAGADBANDHU ASRAM, SUBHASHGRAM, SOUTH 24 PARGANAS, West Bengal, India
This “Asram” is situtated in the natural environment of village Bhabwanipur in the district of South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, India about 2 km away from Subhashgram Railway Station. It was established by Sri Uddharandas Brahmachari, a stalwart monk of Mahanam Sampradaya in the year 1950 (approx)?
The land of the temple and adjacent pond was then donated by Late Phanibhusan Mondal, son of the local landlord. Besides these the other lands and ponds under the control of the Asram were donated by Late Srikanta Mondal and Late Atab Bala Dasi, local disciple of Srimad Uddharandas Brahmachari. The total land of Asram is about 12 Bighas. In course of time, the Asram had undergone deterioration and some of properties including lands went beyond the control of the Asram authority. Under these circumstances the priest (Sebait) Srimad Pran Bandhu Brahmachari successor of Srimad Uddharandas Brahmachari appealed to Srimad Upasak Bandhu Brahmachari, Secretary of Mahanam Samprodaya and Mahanam Sevak Sangha to look after this Asram.
