Of kanchipeeth , sri Jayendra Saraswati inaugurating the
inaugural session at Nazrul Manch, Kolkata On 25th December,
is a saying in English-“Rome was not built in a day.”
In tune with this sentiment, we can express that our long awaited
Centenary Celebration was not the culmination of the efforts of
a few persons for a few days. Efforts were on since July 2001. A
strong contingent of 120 persons worked meticulously to make this
Centenary Celebration a grand success.
multi-dimentional and variety performance oriented celebration was
made functional by a powerful centenary committee comprising of
eminent luminaries from Calcutta and West Bengal as well as functionaries
from Assam , Tripura, U.P, Delhi, and other states.
Honorable Minister Sri Tapan Sikdar and Sri Subrata Mukherjee, the
Mayor of Kolkata were the Patron –in-Chief and Patron respectively.
Prof. Ramaranjan Mukherjee, and Dr Dhyanesh Narayan Chakravarty
adorned the responsible position of Pime-Secretary respectively.
Srimat Bandhudas Brahamachari, Amalesh Bhattacharya and Bikash Rudra
were Joint-Secretaries. We shall be failing in our duties if we
don’t acknowledge the participation of eminent personalities
from the various fields of Education, Culture, Public-Life, Administration,
Science, Religious-Spheres and Erudite-Societies. Among them the
most notable dignitaries were Sri Subhas Chakravarty, Kironmoy Nanda,
Dr Ashish Banerjee, Dr Sujit Basu, Dr Suravi Banerjee, Dr Amit Mallick,
Dr Jyotirmoy Mukherjee, Dr Bharati Mukherjee, Dr Govinda Gopal Mukherjee,
Srimat Dandaswamy of Damodar Ashram, Maha-Mandaleswar Swami BishnuPuri,
Maha Mandaleswar Swamy Devendra Saraswati, Srimat Nityananda Maharaj,
