10th Sad Commemorative Ceremony on 27th Sept 2009 for the Departure of Sriman Mahanamabrata Brahmachari from the Mortal world



On 27th September 2009, on the holy Mahanabami tithi of Durgapuja, the principal part of the 10th sad commemorative ceremony for departure of Sriman Mahanamabrataji from this mortal world was observed at Sri Sri Mahanam Angan. The main attraction of this one day programme was the Suchak Kirtan performed by a team of Kirtan Singers headed by Srimat Upasakbandhu Brahmachari as lead singer at Mahanambrataji’s Samadhi Temple at Mahanam Angan.

This remarkable kirtan started exactly at 9.40am, at the time of his divine demise. At the end of midday sacred Bhog was offered to Prabhu Jagadbandhu Sundar and The Maha Prasad was first offered to Gurudev Dr. Mahanambrata Brahmachari and then distributed among the devotees. Amidst the mirth and merriment of Durgapuja, innumerable devotees attended this commemorative ceremony of the sad demise of our respected mentor. Throughout the day Mahanam Mahakirtan was conducted and in the evening a brief but memorable religious conference was held. Along with Srimat Upasakbandhu Brahmachari many ashramites and devotees took part in this event. The discussion was conducted by Srimat Bandhu Gourav Brahmachari. On the two days later dwadashi day nearly 50 monks were treated with a grand offerings of Mahaprasad. Prior to that at 10.30am in the morning, all these monks gathered in a meeting to discuss various memoirs of Srimat Mahanamabrataji.
